No mater how much Barack Obama kowtows to the Islamic fundamentalists, they will never waver from their agenda: replace Christianity with Mohammedanism, subvert Western civilization, and destroy Israel.
On March 15, Victoria, a Liberian-flagged ship believed to be carrying arms to Hamas-controlled Gaza was intercepted by the Israeli navy 125 miles of the coast of Israel at midday. The ship had sailed from Port Mersin, Turkey bound for Alexandria, Egypt.
“According to assessments,” the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said in a statement. “The various weaponry on-board the vessel was intended for the use of terror organizations operating in the Gaza Strip.”
“The weaponry originated in Iran, which is trying to arm the Gaza strip,” said Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
From an initial investigation, strategic weapons were found on-board the “Victoria” including many 60 and 120 mm mortar shells, and C-704 anti-ship missiles, the IDF said. The C-704 shore-to-sea missiles had a range of 21 miles and its likely use along the Gaza Strip endangers not only infrastructure near the Gaza sea, but Israeli shore cities in close proximity such as Ashkelon.
“The IDF will continue its intelligence and operational activities in order to maintain Israel’s security interests and prevent arms smuggling that will fuel the terror infrastructure in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon,” the IDF
added.
The IDF was performing routine assistance in order to maintain its security and prevent arms smuggling when it seized the ship.
The crew aboard the Victoria did not resist when the Israel Navy towed the vessel towards the Israeli shore.
“The operation was carried out at sea in accordance with all international rules,” said Netanyahu.
Gaza’s terror organizations indiscriminately attack Israeli civilians with thousands of mortars and rockets. Many of the weapons were produced in Iran.
“The attempt to smuggle weaponry to Gaza shows that radical elements are continuing in their attempts to attack Israel and undermine regional stability,” said Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak.
So much for Barack Obama’s open-arms policy to the Islamic world.
