No wonder people are fed up: The federal government and the elite media under Barack Obama have become too big and too nasty — like King Kong on steroids! Never have we seen anything like it in politics. Never have the voters been so angry about a president-run-amuck and the facts being covered by a left-leaning media.
When NBC “Meet the Press” host David Gregory asked former House Speaker Newt Gingrich whether he infused racism into a recent speech by referring to President Barack Obama as “the most successful food stamp president in American history,” Gregory raised a line of attack that had only previously been used by MSNBC and other left-leaning outlets, much to the chagrin of many conservative critics.
And one of those critics was former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin. On Fox News Channel’s “Hannity” last Wednesday, Palin offered her views on Gregory’s question. Her assessment: Gregory is the one displaying racism.
Palin:
“It was a racist question from Gregory. The Leftist media keeps playing their goofy games every time they interview a conservative. Enough is enough. Why do we let the media get away with it. Let’s call them out on this. David Gregory falsely charge Newt with being a racist.”
This is the kind of response conservatives need to have when confronting liberal media attacks.
America has forgotten her roots and the limited government which produced the greatest mixture of freedom and prosperity in history. Like their modern counterparts, the first tea partiers sensed this. The Tea Party has rejected a government that betrayed its ideals.
The Tea Party is meant to be a reminder of the Boston Tea Party, where American Patriots rebelled against unfair taxes from the British crown. Tea Party is also meant to stand for “Taxed Enough Already”. King George III was charging only 2.5% tax! Now of course, even the lowest income earners are fleeced for 12.4% for the Social Security Ponzi Scheme alone.
Trump and Huckabee aren’t running. Thankfully, we have several qualified men from Mitch Daniels, Newt Gingrich and Herman Cain to Ron Paul and Mitt Romney to choose from. There are two other candidates, and they’re not men, that have everything it takes to beat Obama in 2012.
Sarah Palin & Michele Bachmann!
• Uncompromising Conservative Principles
• Political Experience (not enough to lose touch, but just enough to know their way around)
• Good looks (Like it or not, voters do consider appearance)
• Ability to connect to real Americans and understand their concerns
Will Palin run for president, or won’t she?
In a May 19 appearance on “On the Record” on the Fox News Channel, host Greta Van Sustren asked Palin if she had the “fire in the belly’ for such a run, especially after former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee announced he would not be running in 2012 on his Saturday night show.
Palin’s response: She does indeed.
However, Palin pointed out there are obstacles to making a run for the 2012 Republican presidential nomination, primarily family concerns.
“It’s a matter for me of practical, pragmatic decisions that have to be made,” Palin said. “One is, with a large family, understanding the huge amount of scrutiny and the sacrifices that have to be made on my children’s part in order to see their momma run for president. But yeah the fire in the belly — it is there.”
