The administration has done its best to stall drilling both on the North Slope and in the Cook Inlet in Alaska. While talking about exploration, new pipelines, and improved practices, the reality is that every roadblock possible is being placed in the way of increased oil production – just look at what’s going on in the Gulf of Mexico. Last year, Fenton Associates, the public relations agency for many environmental groups, boasted that they had shut down drilling in Alaska. Now the anti-oil fanatics have struck again.
Barack Obama, bowing to extremist environmental pressure groups, rejected the Keystone Pipeline thereby costing the U.S. a real shot at energy independence and hundreds of thousands of jobs. He vetoed the project saying it needs more review — after years of study by the U.S. government!
What he means is he wants to wait until after the 2012 election. Half of our oil comes fromCanada– one-eighth of our total oil imports — would have flowed through this pipeline. We could replace oil from enemies like Saudi Arabia,Venezuela, and Russia with friendly oil fromCanada had Obama said yes. But what else could the nation expect from someone who is so indebted to George Soros and extremist groups whose goal is to bring the United States to her knees.

“Drill, baby, Drill” has been replaced by “Stall, Baby, Stall,” according to oil industry spokesmen.
Barack Obama, the Democratic Party and environmentalists world wide will not be happy until Americans are driving electrics or hybrids and paying five dollar a gallon for gasoline. Lower gas prices? Do you really believe Obama cares about the tough times most Americans are living under. After all, he fraternizes with multi-millionaires and the rest of the top 1% in this country.
Speaker John Boehner says “this fight is not over.” Contact your Senators and Congressman to override Obama’s veto! With the unions – surprise surprise – and concerned Americans opposing his decision, we have a good shot at prevailing over this one term president.
Regular gasoline at the pump should be $2.00 a gallon, not $3.75 or more.
