Roskam Statement on January Jobs Report
WASHINGTON,D.C.– Congressman Peter Roskam (IL-06) issued the following statement after the Department of Labor announced the national unemployment rate is 8.3%.
“It’s encouraging to see more Americans employed and unemployment dropping, but the Obama economy is simply not working for the millions still out of work. Unemployment is still above 8 percent effectively three years after the “stimulus” passed. Yet even still, the Administration’s putting their political agenda ahead of American jobs. Just last month President Obama unilaterally blocked the creation of 20,000 private-sector American jobs when he rejected the Keystone XL Pipeline expansion. This comes in addition to the Senate blocking 29 House-passed jobs bills that would help our economy. It’s time for the Administration and Senate Democrats to change direction and finally embrace bipartisan job-creating solutions – a win for Americans.”
Media Rushes to Defend Planned Parenthood, Ignores Catholic Dispute with Obama.
The Big Three networks continued their blackout on covering the controversy involving the Obama administration trying to force Catholic institutions to include coverage of abortifacients and contraception in their health plans without a co-pay.
Instead, Diane Sawyer recently on ABC World News highlighted Pfizer’s recall of birth control pills that could “raise the risk of accidental pregnancy.” The same evening, both CBS Evening News and NBC Nightly News aired reports on Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation discontinuing its funding of abortion perpetrator Planned Parenthood, with NBC’s Brian Williams hyping how “thousands of women…[may] pay the biggest price” for the move.
Walsh Stands Up Against Obamacare. Votes to repeal unworkable CLASS program
WASHINGTON- Congressman Joe Walsh (IL-8) voted to repeal another section of Obamacare that even the Administration admits is a failure. This bill, which Congressman Walsh co-sponsored, repeals the CLASS Program, which would have saddled American tax payers with millions more in debt and done little to improve the healthcare system.
Walsh stated: “This is why you don’t pass something to find out what’s in it. We did find out what’s in it and it is completely unworkable. When you ram a program through Congress against the objections of the American people, this is what you get. Even the Obama Administration has admitted that the CLASS program is a complete failure. These sorts of spending levels are unsustainable and fancy accounting gimmicks cannot hide that.
“As the failure of the CLASS program proves, Obamacare is just another layer of regulations that is crushing America’s job creators. American small businesses are being strangled by too many burdensome taxes and regulations. We need to stop with big government policies and actually get the government out of the way so small businesses can create the American jobs we need to grow. Repealing the CLASS program is the first step.”
Charlie Rose: Obama Campaign ‘So Giddy That They Want to Run Naked’
Just picturing this gives us indigestion
Charlie Rose boosted a jaw-dropping line from Politico’s Roger Simon on January 27, CBS This Morning, which concluded that the Republican presidential debates were hurting the party’s chances at defeating President Obama: “It is said that in Chicago, where they are running the Obama campaign, that they’re so giddy that they want to run naked in Millennium Park” [audio available here].
Simon’s actual sentence in his Thursday piece was more graphic:
“These debates are making the Obama staffers in Chicago so giddy that after each one they are tearing off their clothes, running through Millennium Park and howling at the moon. And why shouldn’t they? The American people, after being treated to hour upon hour of Republican candidates…are slowly discovering something: Barack Obama doesn’t look that bad any more.”
Editor’s Note: Barack Obama will never look good to thinking Americans.

Newt Gingrich keeps likening President Obama to radical community organizer Saul Alinsky.
Wherever Newt Gingrich goes these days – stumping last month in Florida, arguing on televised debates with fellow Republican presidential hopefuls, jotting down notes for his umpteenth book – he carries with him a scary but useful ghost: Saul Alinsky.
The radical community organizer (gone now these 40 years) is the specter on which Barack Obama has modeled his life, Gingrich warns. It’s no coincidence, he says, that both Alinsky and Obama were from Chicago or that the President passed up far more lucrative possibilities to become … a community organizer.
As a former history professor, Gingrich not only understands Alinsky’s motif, he’s made it a key part of his campaign.
So who was Saul Alinsky?
Born in Chicago in 1909 to Russian immigrant parents, Alinsky worked his way through the University of Chicago, then dropped out of grad school to organize the poor in the city’s slums, demanding better working and living conditions. He published the year before he died in 1972, Alinsky’s “Rules for Radicals: A Pragmatic Primer for Realistic Radicals” and it inspired many young idealists (including, apparently, Hillary Clinton, who wrote her Wellesley College senior thesis on Alinsky).
“What follows is for those who want to change the world from what it is to what they believe it should be,” Alinsky begins his book. “The Prince was written by Machiavelli for the Haves on how to hold power. Rules for Radicals is written for the Have-Nots on how to take it away.”
Sound like the Obama Doctrine, doesn’t it.
While Alinsky never publicly joined the Communist Party, many of his contemporaries believed he was at least a sympathizer.

Well not only did the administration (Obama) say too much about Navy Seal operations and 22 Seals were killed in a planned attack after (the) “big mouths” said too much. Now Leon Panetta in a similar Joe Biden info outing, has told the world that Israel will more than likely attack Iranin April, May or June. Nice huh?
When will he (Panetta) give the exact time, day and names along with exactly how this maneuver will be accomplished? No matter who is the Republican nominee is, he has to be better than this group. Also, even if you are not Catholic what do you think about the Obama administrations’ war with the teachings and beliefs of the Catholic Church?
