Commentary: Barack Obama Says the Silliest Things

By Editor-in-Chief on April 11, 2012

A daily newspaper in Illinois recently had a page 2 article quoting Barack Obama blasting the GOP for its ‘radical’ policies: “President sharply raps Republican stances, Romney.”  Obama “castrated” the GOP, saying it had stayed so far from the political middle that its policies represent an affront to core American values. Well, and no racial slur intended, that’s the pot calling the kettle black.

The cynic that I am, I Remember that the three-years-plus that Mr. Obama has been in the White House we the people have accumulated national debt at a rate more than 27 times as fast as during the rest of our nation’s entire history.  He is also the:

• First President to Violate the War Powers Act

• First President to Orchestrate the Sale of Murder Weapons to Mexican Drug Cartels (Fast & Furious).

• First President to be Held in Contempt of Court for Illegally Obstructing Oil Drilling in the Gulf of Mexico.

• First President to Defy a Federal Judge’s Court Order to Cease Implementing the ‘Health Care Reform’ Law (Obamacare).

• First President to Require All Americans to Purchase a Product From a Third Party (Obamacare).

• First President to Spend a Trillion Dollars on ‘Shovel-Ready’ Jobs — and Later Admit There Was No Such Thing as Shovel-Ready Jobs.

Promises Broken?

1. Obama broke his promise to put all bills on the White House web site for five days before signing them.

2. He broke his promise to have the congressional health care negotiations broadcast live on C-SPAN.

3. He broke his promise to end earmarks.

4. He broke his promise to keep unemployment from rising above 8 percent.

5. He broke his promise to close the detention center at Guantanamo in the first year.

6. He broke his promise to make peace with direct, no precondition talks with America ‘s most hate-filled enemies during his first year in office, ushering in a new era of global cooperation.

7. He broke his promise to end the hiring of former lobbyists into high White House jobs.

8. He broke his promise to end no-compete contracts with the government.

9. He broke his promise to disclose the names of all attendees at closed White House meetings.

10. He broke his promise for a new era of bipartisan cooperation in all matters.

Then Mr. Obama outdid himself.

He accused Republican leaders of becoming so radical and dangerously rigid that even conservative icon Ronald Reagan could not win a GOP primary if he were running today.

Balderdash! – God, that’s a funny old fashion term but I couldn’t resist using it.

If Obama really believes that, then it’s further proof that he and the party he represents, the Democratic Party, are more frightened about the November elections than even I thought.

On March 5, 2011, ICE News published an article reprinted below. Some points in the recent Obama article are so similar to our 2011 article, we wonder if Barack Obama is reading the Illinois Conservative Examiner?

Could John Kennedy Be Elected President Today? No Way!

By Editor-in-Chief on March 5, 2011

At least not as a Democrat!

As long as George Soros, Barney Frank, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid and Dick Durbin dominate the “Party of the Donkey” they will never accept anyone – no matter how well connected and rich they were – who stands for the things Jack Kennedy stood for. In many ways, Kennedy was the Ronald Reagan of the Democratic Party. No room for right-wing fanatics in today’s Democratic Party – No Way!

I find it interesting how left-wing Democrats and their mainstream media flunkies take Conservatives to task when we pine for Ronald Reagan. They giggle, they laugh. They tell us to “get a grip” that Reagan is gone and to stop trying to have our current presidential candidates measure up to “Ronny.”

Yet, 47 years after his assignation, the Liberal media and the Democrats still get teary-eyed and maudlin whenever they mention John Kennedy. They quiver whenever they talk about Jackie. Camelot was their nirvana. If only JFK had lived, you (Democrats) would have amended the Constitution so he could have been reelected as many times as FDR.

Does anyone really believe the party that rammed Barack Obama down the throats of the American electorate would nominate John F. Kennedy today for anything?

At the time, many considered him a liberal. Today? Forget it!

Hey, you Progressive, socialist, knee-jerk bleeding hearts, “Get a Grip.” Even if Jack Kennedy were alive, young and interested in running for office, you wouldn’t want him. He was TOO Conservative.

In fact, the only way he would stand a chance to win the White House would be to run as a – gasp – a …Republican.

There, I said it. JFK as a Republican. He might even be a Tea Party supporter … yeah, a real fanatic.

Forgetaboutit!
