Sarah Palin, the feisty and charismatic former Alaskan governor and U.S. vice presidential candidate beat ABC’s $7 million woman Katie Couric in a head-to-head fight for ratings last week. No surprise to conservatives across the nation who love her, but it has to infuriate the leftist media who have done everything they could to besmirch and denigrate Palin since she exploded on the political scene as John McCain’s running mate in the 2008 presidential election.
Palin is largely responsible for the “Today” show slapping down ABC’s “Good Morning America” feeble attempt to take over the morning news program ratings. Palin retains an immense following among this nation’s conservatives and will be a “force to be reckoned with” in the 2012 elections. ICE News is ecstatic with the results posted by the Nielsen rating company.
Palin, undoubtedly, is feeling a sense of vindication and satisfaction in kicking Couric’s butt, especially after Couric’s 2008 campaign interview that, for all intents and purposes, was an ambush of Palin to belittle her and her family in the eyes of the American public.
Nielsen said Monday that NBC’s “Today” beat ABC’s “Good Morning America” in the rating by a margin of 210,000 viewers. ABC brought in the former “Today” show anchor in an effort to pre-empt “Today” as the most watched morning show. NBC countered with Sarah Palin – much to the chagrin, we are sure, of host Matt Lauer.
Last Tuesday, Lauer denigrated Palin’s qualifications when he asked: “When you were plucked from obscurity in 2008 you’d been Alaska’s governor about two years. You didn’t have any real experience on the national stage….Do you think, if Mitt Romney’s the nominee, he should choose someone with more experience on the national battlefield than you had at the time?”
Lauer and his fellow Obama-apologists refuse to consider the fact that Barack Obama had virtually no real-world experience before entering the White House. Compared to Palin, his government or business experience was negligible. *

ICE watched the program and couldn’t help but laugh when, as the Palin segment finished, Lauer – almost grudgingly – complemented Palin on her competence and professionalism.
