It shouldn’t be come as a surprise to anyone, but the 2012 elections are shaping up as a case study in how to manipulate the democratic process. The media have played a huge roll by manipulating Obama’s poll numbers, which seem to stay high despite numerous reports of his losing ground among various constituent groups. Once again, Florida is a battleground. Two huge battles are under way in Florida that could have a major impact on the Presidential election and the validity of the voting process: Barack Obama’s eligibility and place of birth and vote fraud. These must be closely watched in the coming days.
A report released May 8 reveals the Left’s vote fraud strategy for the 2012 elections. Like the Red Chinese efforts to undermine the U.S. economy, it is thorough, multi-faceted and redundant. It has overt and covert, illegal and legal elements, the latter of which are designed, at least in part, to facilitate illegal activities later. It is a deliberate, premeditated, comprehensive plan to win the 2012 presidential and congressional elections at all costs, and is in keeping with the organizational methods, associations and ethics of the Community-Organizer-in-Chief, Barack Obama.
The Left seeks fundamental structural change to our entire form of government. In keeping with their amoral, (the) means-justifies-ends philosophy, they will register any voters, dead or alive, legal or illegal, who will then vote as many times as possible, in order to establish a “permanent progressive majority.” As two New York Democrats recently caught in a vote fraud scandal told police, “voter fraud is an accepted way of winning elections…”
Nationwide, the media’s Obama-sycophants have presented a careful selection of stories to downplay or ignore important stories: The Fast and Furious scandal, the presidential leak scandal, the almost complete ignoring of the Catholic Church’s battle with the administration, the proof that President Obama was a dues-paying member of the socialist New Party, the ongoing cover up of Obama’s past — the list is long and getting longer every day.
But there are deeper manipulations going on. How much time has been devoted by the networks to a case: DOJ vs. Florida? The case involves a looming battle between Florida election officials and the Obama Department of Justice run Attorney General Eric Holder. The DOJ has ordered Florida election officials to stop their efforts to purge the voter rolls of “noncitizen voters.”
Florida officials are indicating they may fight the DOJ and have expressed frustration that the Obama Administration has stonewalled the state’s noncitizen voter hunt for nine months. Election officials say they have identified about 2,700 noncitizen voters. Florida was decided by just 236,000 votes out of more than 8.2 million cast in the 2008 Presidential election.
Why hasn’t the media gone ballistic over the May 16 report that Florida election officials are set to announce that the secretary of state has discovered and purged up to 53,000 dead voters from the voter rolls in Florida.
How could 53,000 dead voters have sat on the polls for so long? Simple. Because Florida hadn’t been using the best available data revealing which voters have died. Florida is now using the nationwide Social Security Death Index for determining which voters should be purged because they have died.
A simple way to help prevent voter fraud and election abuse is for states to purge voter rolls. What does this mean? Getting rid of names on voter rolls of people ineligible to vote such as illegal aliens, dead people, duplicates, etc.
Enter the Barack Obama Change & Transparency doctrine. DOJ to Florida: “You Can’t Clean Up Your Voter Rolls!”
Here is the bad news. Most states aren’t using the same database that Florida is. In fact, there are reports that some election officials won’t even remove voters even when they are presented with a death certificate. That means that voter rolls across the nation still are filled with dead voters, even if Florida is leading the way in detecting and removing them. Illinoisans have been calling for this for decades and have been ignored by the state’s ruling party: Yeah, the Democrats.
For nearly a year, Florida election officials have asked the Department of Homeland Security for access to the Immigration and Customs Enforcement database in order to take illegal aliens and non-citizens off Florida voter rolls. Not surprisingly, DHS has been dragging its feet and has yet to comply with the request and now, the Department of Justice is stepping into the purging process and ordering Florida, a vital swing state, to stop.
The Justice Department sent a letter to Florida Secretary of State Ken Detzner May 31 demanding the state cease purging its voting rolls because the process it is using has not been cleared under the Voting Rights Act.
DOJ also said that Florida’s voter roll purge violated the National Voter Registration Act, which stipulates that voter roll maintenance should have ceased 90 days before an election, which given Florida’s August 14 primary, meant May 16.
Politicians of both parties are not above engaging in vote fraud – registering the dead or illegals. But this kind of corruption is relegated to individual campaigns or areas where corrupt political establishments have been able to develop unchallenged (Illinois). It is not a systematic component of overall national strategy, as it is with the Left.
This strategy has been under development for decades. They have constructed an entire industry devoted to this task and pursue a multifaceted strategy to accomplish it:
1.The Left will swamp election officials with overwhelming numbers of registrations at the last possible minute, a huge proportion of which are deliberately fraudulent, in order to create systematic chaos. This accomplishes numerous goals:
- Makes verification of registrations difficult, given the small size and limited budgets of state and local election offices.
- Provides multiple opportunities for vote fraud.
- Throws the entire voting process into question, providing pretext for lawsuits where concessions may be obtained from election officials.
- When election officials challenge registrations, they are accused of “voter suppression.” This in turn serves complementary goals:
… Charge of “voter suppression” reinforces the Left’s narrative about America as an oppressive, “racist” country.
… Publicity and lawsuits intimidate election officials, who settle on terms favorable to the Left.
2. Activists sue state authorities for “voter suppression,” creating further chaos and pressuring them to become de facto taxpayer-funded voter registration operations;
3. Eric Holder’s Justice Department tacitly supports voter intimidation tactics, sues states and backs private lawsuits, and resists reform as “voter suppression.”
4. Leftist echo chamber discredits allegations of vote fraud, supports “suppression” theme, and promotes advantageous legislation.
The ultimate goal is a systematized, taxpayer-funded voting machinery that will guarantee maximum participation from the Left’s voting demographic while undermining the ability to manage elections and prevent fraud.
5. In Illinois, members of the U.S. military have had their absentee voted invalidated election after election due to a time-honored Democratic Party process of sending the absentee ballots out too late for the ballots to be filled out and returned in time to be counted. (The military usually votes Republican).
Then there’s the ACORN Swamping Method
Key to understanding the Left’s vote-fraud strategy is the community organizing group ACORN. ACORN has become synonymous with corruption, complicity in the subprime mortgage crisis and especially vote fraud. (See ICE News Monday’s issue #181 for more on ACORN).
ACORN and its voter registration arm, Project Vote, hire marginal and unskilled workers at very low rates and use incentive bonuses or quotas to encourage them to collect as many voter registrations as possible. The resulting flood of registrations are fraught with duplicates, errors and omissions, and a large number are overtly fraudulent, including names like “Donald Duck,” “Mickey Mouse,” “Tony Roma” of the Dallas Cowboys, etc. According to Matthew Vadum, , the senior editor at Capital Research Center, a total of 400,000 bogus ACORN registrations were thrown out in 2008 alone.
ACORN was supposedly disbanded in 2010 but resurrected itself under a slew of new names. Former ACORN President Bertha Lewis bragged that they created “…18 bulletproof community-organizing Frankensteins…” These are reproduced in the table below. Most of these groups occupy former ACORN offices, many with the same staff.
ACORN is directly connected to Obama and the Democratic Party. Counsel to The Advance Group, a strategic planning company, is Michael Gaspard, Patrick Gaspard’s brother. Patrick is currently the DNC’s executive director and President Obama’s former political director. He has worked for ACORN, the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) and the Working Families Party, a descendant of the ACORN-founded New Party which Barack Obama joined in 1996. Obama has bragged of “fighting alongside ACORN on issues you care about my entire career.”
There also suggestions that the Democrats are setting up a Bush-Gore-style recount showdown on election night. ABC News has already run a story speculating that such a face-off could happen again.
There is a widespread Internet rumor that a Spanish company called Scytl bought a company, SOE, that will be counting the presidential votes in Florida, and that Scytl is owned by billionaire puppet master George Soros. The Liberal propaganda machine Media Matters — which itself has been funded by Soros — and other propaganda outlets have been doing backflips to deny that Soros owns Scytl.
Still, the rumors persist, and you have to wonder why the media would be speculating about another recount months before we even get to the election?
These type of shenanigans aren’t new to the Democratic Party. The 2010 midterm Nevada elections were decided in favor of Senate Democrat Harry Reid using voting machines operated by members of the Service Employees International Union (SEIU).
What! You’re kidding? No, we’re not.
