While our friends on the left keep repeating the tired marching order “Forward”, it is crucial to understand what President Obama means by “Forward.” For starters, President Obama has increased the national debt more than all other presidents combined from George Washington to George W. Bush in less than 3 years. In fact, the numbers are now in on the last 3 years of his Presidency and Barack Obama has now been proven to be the biggest government spender in world history.
And what do we have to show for that record, mammoth, spending? Let’s see a $787 BILLION “Stimulus” bill which was sold as providing “Shovel Ready Jobs”. In reality less than 6% of the Stimulus funds went to “Shovel Ready Jobs”.
This is precisely why President Obama finally had to admit that Shovel Ready Jobs weren’t so Shovel Ready President Obama also promised that if we passed his $787 Billion Stimulus Bill unemployment “will not rise above 8%” and would go down to 5% by now.
Know where unemployment is now? The White House numbers, which do not include ‘mean’ unemployment or the “U6″ numbers (which include those who have given up looking for work) is 8.1% and has remained above 8% for 40 straight months. When you add people who have given up looking for work back in, as the “U6″ numbers do, the real unemployment numbers are more than 15%. See the real “U6″ unemployment numbers here.
Oh, and guess what else “Forward” means with Barack Obama? That’s right more welfare! More Americans are now dependent on government than ever before in U.S. History. Where does the money come from to subsidize all of these new ‘dependents’. That’s right! It is confiscated, via ‘wealth redistribution’ from the few, the proud, the 53% of us who actually pay income taxes (47% of Americans pay no income taxes).
According to the most recent Congressional Budget Office (CBO) report, under Barack Obama food stamp usage has increased 135 percent to reach a cost of $78 billion last year alone. And I quote from the CBO report: “Nearly 45 million recipients, one out of every seven U.S. residents, received food stamp benefits in an average month in fiscal year 2011.”
