Why would Catholics or Evangelicals vote for Barack Obama? Why would military veterans, those currently serving and their family members vote for Barack Obama? Why would Jews vote for Barack Obama? Why would Polish-Americans vote for Barack Obama? And why would right-to-life (anti-abortion) supporters, proponents of the Second Amendment and a host of others vote for Barack Obama?
ICE News couldn’t say. We do believe they will not vote for Barack Obama in November. Here’s why:
Religion: The Obama Administration’s attacks on religion. Abortion, same-sex marriage, attacking Church’s tax-exempt status. Liberal judges at the urging of Obama and the DOJ have misinterpreted the First Amendment’s Establishment Clause and have tried to force religion from the public square, while a culture that is becoming increasingly decadent does all it can to denigrate, mock and sneer at people of faith.
In May, forty three Catholic dioceses, charities, and Organizations Filed Lawsuits Against Obama’s HHS Mandate filed twelve different suits across the country against the Obama administration’s Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) mandate. The HHS mandate forces Catholic organizations to provide contraception, a violation of Catholic beliefs. The lawsuits argue that a federal mandate issued by the Obama administration violates their fundamental religious liberty. The controversial mandate will require employers to offer health insurance plans that cover contraception, sterilization and abortion-inducing drugs, even if doing so violates their consciences.
The mandate has drawn heavy criticism from bishops in every diocese in the U.S. They warned that the regulation could force religious schools, hospitals and charitable agencies around the nation to close down.
The Military: Repealing Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell. Recently, Barack Obama threatened to veto a defense appropriations bill partly because it did not include higher health care fees for members of the military. That’s right. Obama was out to veto a bill because they didn’t raise fees for health care on military personnel. This is just another example of his total lack of appreciation of the military and disgust with America in general.
Obama Campaign Sues to Restrict Military Voting. While Barack Obama and the Democrats like to give lip service to our men and women in uniform, it’s what they do that betrays their rhetoric. He likes to get his picture with troops even though behind closed doors they are giving him the finger and sleeping during his speeches. This all makes things quite interesting when both the Obama campaign and the Democrat party are suing to restrict the military’s ability to vote in the upcoming election.
Israel and Jewish Voters: On March 26, 2010, President Obama snubbed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in several ways during his visit to the White House. After failing to extract a written promise of concessions on settlements, Obama walked out of his meeting with Netanyahu but invited him to stay at the White House, consult with advisers and “let me know if there is anything new”, a U.S. congressman, who spoke to the Prime Minister, said.
For a head of government to visit the White House and not pose for photographers is rare. For a key ally to be left to his own devices while the President withdraws to have dinner in private was, until then, unheard of. Yet that is how Benjamin Netanyahu was treated by Barack Obama, according to Israeli reports on a trip viewed in Jerusalem as a humiliation.
Obama’s calls for Israel’s return to pre-1967 borders.Obama has several times put forward parameters that weaken the Israeli negotiating position including forcing Israel to return to the indefensible 1967 lines.
This March, bad blood simmered not far below the surface of meetings between Obama and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as it has over the past three years. Netanyahu spoke with Obama during their meeting, on March 5, in the Oval Office of the White House in Washington discussion on Iran and nuclear threat and left without a firm commitment from Obama.
The Polish Vote: Firstly, the vast majority of those of Polish descent are Roman Catholic and side with the Church on matters of faith.
Then there’s protecting the homeland of their fathers: Obama Shunned Polish Solidarity Lech Walesa in June saying the political leader was “too political” for the administration. According to the Wall Street Journal, Polish officials requested that Walesa accept the Medal of Freedom on behalf of Jan Karski, a member of the Polish Underground during World War II who was being honored posthumously. The request made sense: Walesa and Karski shared a burning desire to rid Poland of tyrannical subjugation. But President Obama said no.
Administration officials told the Journal that Walesa is too “political.” A man who was arrested by Soviet officials for dissenting against the government for being “political” is being shunned by the United States of America for the same reason 30 years later.
Meanwhile, one of the recipients of the Medal was Dolores Huerta, the honorary chair of the Democratic Socialists of America. So socialist politics are acceptable, but not the politics of a man who stood up and fought socialism.
The “Polish Death Camps Insult: In June, Polish Premier Donald Tusk Denounced Obama for Referring to a ‘Polish Death Camp’ during a ceremony honoring a World War II hero, saying they wanted a stronger response. The phrasing is considered hugely offensive in Poland, where Nazi Germany murdered Poles, Jews and others in death camps it built during World War II on Polish and German territory. Poles have responded with outrage, saying Obama should have called it a “German death camp in Nazi-occupied Poland” to distinguish the perpetrators from the location
Obama’s support for abortion and Planned Parenthood, for gay marriage, for usurping our Second Amendment rights, and presidential signing of hundreds of federal regulations has made him the most unpopular president in our history. There isn’t enough room here, nor time, to list all the transgressions the Democratic Party and Barack Obama have committed against the American people. Suffice to say, American voters who support traditional marriage, the right to life and gun ownership will be out in force this November.
And, they won’t be voting for Barack Obama.
