Quinn Again Looking to Relieve You of Your $$$
Illinois residents have been avoiding the taxman for years by shopping online, a strategy that will become harder under a new law that requires online merchants to collect sales tax on purchases made through business partner based in the state. House Bill 3659, the Mainstreet Fairness Bill, was passed by the state’s lame duck legislature in early January. Ladies and gentlemen, prepare to have your pockets picked. Once again.
We Can No Longer Afford Illegal Aliens in the US
In his 2010 State of the Union address, President Obama emphasized the need to “tell hard truths” when it comes to the nation’s affairs. His own comments on immigration during the address, however, glossed over the realities of America’s growing immigration problem and failed to offer a solution that would protect the rule of law, strengthen the economy, and keep America secure. In other words, he said a lot and said nothing.
Illinois Should Implement the E-Verify System
Our state’s jobless should not have to compete with illegal aliens for jobs, particularly during a recession. By mandating workers verification, Illinois would force employers to use the federal E-Verify system to check whether new hires are eligible to work in the U.S. Mandatory E-Verify will ensure that jobs are reserved for citizens and legal residents.
The Alternative to Mainstream Media Lies and Omissions
Fellow Conservatives:
The mainstream media has betrayed the public with their reporting of both domestic and international news. The abuses of the Obama administration have been ignored. Pat Quinn is clandestinely leading the people of Illinois to financial ruin. George Soros – most people don’t even know who he is – gave a million dollar check to NPR to hire a gaggle of reporters to advance his left-wing agenda. He gave another million to a campaign to legalize marijuana. Many believe he is the author of Obama’s foreign policy. And yet on these, and many other issues that directly affect America, the media is silent.
Supreme Court Rejects “In God We Trust”
The U.S. Supreme Court rejected a challenge to “In God We Trust” on the nation’s coins and currency on March 7, refusing to consider a Sacramento man’s claim that the national motto is a government endorsement of religion. Where do these people get the money to pursue these idiotic – no, make that stupid – lawsuits? George Soros, maybe?
A Real Short Civics Lesson
The Washington Post went on a rant recently about Obama inheriting a huge deficit from Bush. Amazingly, many people swallow this baloney.
