Bruce Springsteen Shows (his) True Colors
And they’re not Red, White and Blue. You expect rock stars to be liberal, even stridently leftist. Like movie stars, they don’t experience reality the way you and I do because they are hedged off from it behind phalanxes of security guards and ridiculous income levels. And their heedless naivety is, in a way, part of their childlike Peter Pan charm; they never outgrow their angry-high-schooler phase because in most cases they went directly from high school to show business. A Bruce Springsteen album released March 6th contains some of the most inflammatory and inexcusable rhetoric ever heard in a major pop star’s work. Even the 1960s anti-war radicals were rarely this reprehensible. (more…)

Besides voting Barack Obama out of the White House, that is. Voters in the Land of Lincoln have a clear cut choice for Congress in the 8th District. You have a front man – in this case, a front woman – for the Chicago Democratic Machine, for Barack Obama, and for the international labor unions trying to bankrupt this nation. On the other side, you have a young, aggressive Tea Party-backed Republican who has been marked for political extinction by the socialist Left of America because, in his first two years in office, he delivered on his campaign promises. Arizona Senate Votes to Ban Abortions after 20 Weeks
On a 20-10 margin, the Arizona state Senate voted last week to ban virtually all abortions at 20 weeks of gestation, a measure that Planned Parenthood Arizona says makes it the most restrictive in the nation. Also, a pro-lifer gets cut loose. (more…)
