ICE News isn’t surprised, but some political pundits may be wondering why President Obama decided to take a controversial stance on gay marriage with November’s election approaching soon. The pro-gay marriage position will not help the president with swing voters in Ohio, Virginia, North Carolina or rust belt states like Michigan. Obama is trailing Mitt Romney in many polls. House Passes Walsh Amendment: Sanctuary Cities
Cong. Walsh’s amendment would cut funding to cities that refuse to enforce immigration laws. Chicago is one of many choosing to ignore federal immigration laws. Even Some Democrats Believe the Taliban Has Grown Stronger Under Obama
On May 6, the leaders of a House Congressional committee said they believed that the Taliban had grown stronger since President Barack Obama sent 33,000 more U.S. troops to Afghanistan in 2010. The pessimistic report by Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., and Rep. Mike Rogers, R-Mich., challenges Obama’s own assessment in his visit to Kabul that the “tide had turned” and that “we broke the Taliban’s momentum.” (more…)
