A coalition of powerful unions has invested tens of millions behind a total war campaign to recall the conservative Wisconsin Governor. For government labor unions, this election is do or die. Gov. Walker’s historic legislation ending collective bargaining will cause a massive exodus of union members and their money. Illinois Shocker: Republican Leadership Brings Obamacare to State Two Years Early

Illinois is a state increasingly going against national trends. While over half the states in the country are currently suing the federal government to stop Obamacare from being implemented, Illinois Republicans cut a deal with Chicago Democrats to implement Obamacare two years early. Republicans in the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives were united in their opposition to Obamacare, but Illinois Republicans became the first Republicans in the country to support Obamacare. Illinois Republicans were instrumental in implementing Obamacare before the United States Supreme Court could rule on its constitutionality and before Obama faces the voters in November. (more…)
The Real War on Women Practiced By Senate Democrats
A group of Democratic female senators last week declared war on the so-called “gender pay gap,” urging their colleagues to pass the aptly named Paycheck Fairness Act when Congress returns from recess next month. Republicans Roskam and Dold Talk Energy at UPS Illinois Facility
Congressman Peter Roskam (IL-06), and Congressman Robert Dold (IL-10) visited the UPS facility in Addison, Illinois May 30 to discuss how fluctuating energy prices impact the economy, especially in the Chicago area, which is a major transportation and freight hub.
