With a Democrat in the White House and his reelection on the line, this is the absolute worst time for a scandal like this to blow up: The story of Eric Holder and the contempt vote now being considered by the U.S. House of Representatives. So, if you want to see an entire newsroom freak out, say that Fast and Furious is worse than Watergate!

Illinois Bows to Gay Lobby
Illinois is a state held in the iron-grip of the Chicago Democratic Machine, and, as always the state takes its lead from Washington – at least when the Democrats are running things in our nation’s capital. Barack Obama and Senators Harry Reid and Dick Durbin (D-IL) have had their way in Washington for nearly four years and have made monstrous changes that have affected the everyday lives of all Americans. What is Obama’s Middle East Game Plan?
Whatever it is, it isn’t working. Or is it?
The two countries that pose the greatest threat to the West, and the United States are Iran and Syria. When tens of thousands of Iranians filled the streets of Tehran protesting a fraudulent election, the Obama administration did nothing, despite the pleas from the demonstrators to come to their aid. The Iranian government viewed that inactivity as weakness and crushed the popular revolt, killing thousands. In Syria, a civil war is raging and again, thousands are dying and Barack Obama does nothing but voice weak condemnations. This is the man, Barack Obama, who eagerly chose to overthrow the dictators in Egypt and Libya – two governments that posed virtually no threat to the West. (more…)

Will Texas be The First State to Up Speed Limit to 85mph?
Toll road two thirds completed runs from I-10 east of San Antonio to Georgetown, north of Austin. The Texas Department of Transportation June 6 said a toll road being built from San Antonio to north of Austin could be the first road in the country to have a posted 85 mile per hour speed limit. Why not, Texas has lots of wide open space with few hills and no mountains. 85mph makes sense. (more…)
