Tea Party: Our Strength Is In Numbers
“We are about to have a Tea Party second wave that will dwarf the first wave and that is because while ‘spend too much’ brought the Tea Party into existence, we’re about to walk into ‘spend too much, regulate too much, and tax too much,’ all together. It’s going to be a perfect storm of annoying government behavior, which is devastating to the economy, and I think the small business community which is particularly hit by Obama’s tax increases are going to lead the fight bigger, stronger, tougher than the last Tea Party. Are you with us?” - Grover Norquist on Brietbart. (more…)
The Road Back for Conservatives
Barack Obama won re-election pursuing a campaign of delay, denial and division. In Illinois, Democrats restored their supermajorities in both the state House and Senate. The job of conservatives today is to study the election results and learn everything we can to begin working toward a better tomorrow. (more…)
Conservative America is a ‘Sleeping Giant’ That Needs to Wake Up
Most Americans describe themselves as “conservative.” And conservatives, by nature, tend to mind their own business. Unless, of course, their “own business” is being run over by a controlling, liberal president and his cronies in the DNC and the nation’s unions.
Grassroots Republicanism: Park Ridge, Illinois
Spent a pleasant afternoon Sunday as a guest of the Republican Women of Park Ridge (RWPR) at their annual Red, White and Blue Banquet. We forget, with all the TV hype and controversy surrounding big money donors, the candidates and debates that it is the grassroots voters and volunteers who are the backbone of any political party. The ladies of Park Ridge reaffirmed my pride in being a Republican and a Conservative.
MSNBC Host Slurs Conservative Columnist
Just how much does the media hate Conservatives? Left-wing mouthpiece Ed Schultz opened his MSNBC show last Wednesday night by apologizing to Laura Ingraham for using, on his radio show, “vile and inappropriate language” to describe her, language he did not repeat when issuing the apology. On Tuesday, the left-wing host had slimed the conservative talk radio host as a “right-wing slut” and a “radio slut.”
Civil Unions Spark Fight over Adoptions in Illinois
Though it is not currently a hot ticket debate in Illinois, there is a battle looming between Conservatives and Liberals in Illinois over adoptions by gay and lesbian couples. Neither political party can voice exclusive support for either side of this issue. It does appear that the majority Democratic Party does not see eye-to-eye with Catholic charities.
ACLU: Anti-Conservative Liberals Union
Watching TV news as a boy, I was given a false impression of the ACLU by the talking heads who were the only source of news before talk radio, cable and the Internet. They convinced me, and most of my generation that this organization was the guardian angel of the United States. It was only after I became more politically astute, that I understood the men and women of the ACLU were not safeguarding America’s freedom, they were determined to undermine it.
A Chicago Democrat We’d be Sorry to See Go
Much like his father before him, Cong. Daniel Lipinski is a political creature that is almost extinct in the City of Chicago. He is a conservative Democrat. So, of course, he may not be very popular with the Democratic Left. Their answer to Mr. Lipinski holding office: Get rid of him.
