Europe’s Response to Islamic Extremism
The Left in America constantly has pointed to Europe as a guide for social consciousness. America was too pedestrian, bigoted, close-minded, they cried. We need to be more like Europe. I say, I agree!
Earlier this month, David Cameron pledged to make Britain ‘a lot less’ tolerant towards Islamic extremists who whip up hatred against the West. In a major speech on terrorism, the British Prime Minister argued that Britain has been too ‘passive’ towards organizations and preachers who poison the minds of young Muslims. Cameron said Britain needs to be less tolerant and more judgmental when faced with ideologies that threaten the country’s basic values.
The Most Violent Country in Europe?
For decades, American gun owners have been lambasted by anti-gunners like Barack Obama, Chicago mayor Richard Daly and Sen. Dick Durbin who point to Great Britain as the role model for a “civilized society.” As usual, they are wrong.
