Illinois is a state held in the iron-grip of the Chicago Democratic Machine, and, as always the state takes its lead from Washington – at least when the Democrats are running things in our nation’s capital. Barack Obama and Senators Harry Reid and Dick Durbin (D-IL) have had their way in Washington for nearly four years and have made monstrous changes that have affected the everyday lives of all Americans. ICE News isn’t surprised, but some political pundits may be wondering why President Obama decided to take a controversial stance on gay marriage with November’s election approaching soon. The pro-gay marriage position will not help the president with swing voters in Ohio, Virginia, North Carolina or rust belt states like Michigan. Obama is trailing Mitt Romney in many polls.
