The Obama administration’s abandonment of Middle East countries not friendly to al-Qaida reminds us of another leftist Democratic president. It is reminiscent of 1979 and Jimmy Carter’s cutting the legs out from under the Shah of Iran – at that time, excepting Israel, our strongest ally in the Middle East. Once the Shah was ousted, and the Islamic fundamentalists were in, the entire region stepped back in time a thousand years and became a powder keg that has cost its people millions of lives. Jimmy Carter, the man who “lost” Iran to Islamic fundamentalists, gave away the Panama Canal, and called our military serving at Guantanamo torturers and whom many consider to be our country’s most inept of presidents, has been slapped with a $5 million class action lawsuit claiming his 2006 book “Palestine Peace Not Apartheid” violated New York consumer protection laws.

Obama’s Broken Promises
Of course, It’s all George Bush’s fault. Probably the least qualified American president since Jimmy Carter, Barack Obama floated into the White House on a cloud of socialist ideas after American voters crowned him the “Prince of Change.” He promised the world and delivered nothing.
