Planned Parenthood Riding High On Taxpayer Money

How does this go over with those of you who choose life over abortion? According to its latest (Jan. 2012) annual report, the Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) received $487.4 million in tax dollars over a twelve-month period and performed 329,455 abortions. In addition, the number of adoption referrals made by the organization continued to decline.

As we wrote in our November 3  issue, abortion is the most emotional issue facing voters in next year’s elections.  We’re drowning in a sea of red ink and the left wing  social scientists promoting  Choice have found another way to fund abortions using taxpayer money, despite the majority of Americans opposing the operation.

Medicaid Pays Less than Medicare for Many Prescription Drugs, U.S. Report Finds

Medicaid gets much deeper discounts on many prescription drugs than Medicare, in part because Medicaid discounts are set by law whereas Medicare prices are negotiated by private insurers and drug companies, federal investigators said August 15  in a new report. (more…)

Entitlement Programs Now One-Third of Wages

Government entitlement programs such as Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, and unemployment insurance now equal 35 percent of all wages up from 26 percent as recently as 2002 pushing the United States toward European territory.

The deficit is estimated at $13 trillion – a cost to every living American a whopping $118,000. One of the many reasons for the deficit is Social Security payments to legal and illegal immigrants. Medicaid, Medicare and Social Security are the greatest causes of our runaway federal spending. These entitlement programs gobble up about one-tenth of GDP and are expected to double by 2055.
