Last Thursday, the House of Representatives passed H. Con. Res. 25, the budget resolution for fiscal year 2014. The House Republican budget stops spending money Washington doesn’t have and fosters a healthier economy to create jobs. That was the battle cry Saturday morning from more than 200 excited volunteers gathered at the GOP headquarters in Elmhurst, Illinois as they prepared to spread out over the Illinois Eight Congressional District and talk to the faithful, and to the undecided, about their candidate. The lead speaker was the veteran and articulate House GOP Chief Deputy Whip Peter Roskam (IL-6th) who energized the crowd with a series of reprimands to Chicago Machine honchos Chicago mayor Rahm Emanuel, David Axelrod and Sen.
