Religious Freedom in Illinois? Not So Much!

Religious Freedom in Illinois? Not So Much!

By Editor-in-Chief on November 24, 2012

Dept. of Labor safety rules proposed last spring would have prevented the children of farmers from helping Dad out on the farm, and would have replaced currently approved safety classes conducted by 4-H and Farm Bureau with a required 90-hour safety course. The proposed new rules were smacked down by massive public response. The Daily Caller reported the administration’s April 26th statement, “To be clear, this regulation will not be pursued for the duration of the Obama administration.” (more…)

When Will the Christian Right Begin to Understand?

When Will the Christian Right Begin to Understand?

By Editor-in-Chief on November 10, 2012

It isn’t the end of the world no matter how dire the reelection of President Barack Obama seems; but it is time for true conservatives, for the TEA Party and patriotic Christian Americans to band together if the GOP is to survive. We ask ourselves, Did Millions of Christians Contribute to the Totalitarian State by not getting involved politically? Yes. Were the Catholic Church and Evangelicals Christians strong-armed into stepping away from the battle? Maybe. (more…)

Obama’s Assault on Religious Freedom

Obama’s Assault on Religious Freedom

By Editor-in-Chief on October 3, 2012

In 2006 we elected to the U.S. Senate an Illinois State Senator who spent most of his 2 years in Washington running for President.  Why should we be surprised this empty suit had no solutions to our problems?  Americans wanted to feel tolerant, and free of racial prejudice, a poor reason to elect a President.  Obama promised to reach across the aisle, though he hadn’t done so in either his state or U.S. Senate terms.  Smoke and mirrors. A/G Church Loses High Court Tax Appeal: Church Forced to Pay Real Estate Taxes

A/G Church Loses High Court Tax Appeal: Church Forced to Pay Real Estate Taxes

By Editor-in-Chief on September 29, 2012

For the past two years, Catholics have been in the news voicing opposition to the draconian anti-Christian edits of the Obama administration and the Democratic Party. From the beginning the Church asked “Who will be the next target of the Obama administration’s blatant disregard for the Constitution and religious liberties?” Well, now we know. (more…)

Fortnight for Religious Freedom Launches on June 21

By Editor-in-Chief on June 20, 2012

The U.S. Catholic Bishops have announced a “Fortnight for Freedom” campaign to awaken American Catholics and believers of all faiths to Obamacare’s unprecedented assault on religious freedom.  The two-week event culminates in a Mass at 12:10 pm on July 4th at the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, DC celebrated by Cardinal Donald Wuerl, Archbishop of Washington.  Northern IL Tea Party applauds efforts by religious leaders to uphold the First Amendment right of religious freedom. Faith Under Fire: The Global Threat to Religious Freedom

By Editor-in-Chief on March 3, 2012

An eye-opening Chicago area Conference on the worldwide crisis in religious freedom will take place 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 10 in Mt. Prospect, Illinois. US Congressman Peter Roskam and US Congressman Joe Walsh will be speaking at Faith Under Fire: The Global Threat to Religious Freedom and playing a crucial leadership role at a time, when many of our legislators in the US Congress are failing to proactively engage issues that also represent a threat to our own liberties and national security in the United States. The ALCU Wants Sharia Law

The ALCU Wants Sharia Law

By Editor-in-Chief on May 31, 2011

Daniel Mach, director of the American Civil Liberties Union’s program on Freedom of Religion and Belief, and Jamil Dakwar, director of the ACLU’s Human Rights program, recently co-authored an article on the Huffington Post attacking legislative efforts to prohibit the application of foreign laws inconsistent with the rights granted by the U.S. and state constitutions or state public policy.

White House Fails to Issue Easter Proclamation

By Editor-in-Chief on April 28, 2011

President Barack Obama, with daughter Sasha, attended the White House Easter Egg Roll on the South Lawn of the White House in Washington, Monday, April 25, 2011. He did little else to honor one of our most sacred Christian holidays. We, of course, do not know if Barack Obama is a Christian, but if he is, why does he play mind games about subjects like this and his birth records?

ACLU: Anti-Conservative Liberals Union

ACLU: Anti-Conservative Liberals Union

By Editor-in-Chief on April 7, 2011

Watching TV news as a boy, I was given a false impression of the ACLU by the talking heads who were the only source of news before talk radio, cable and the Internet. They convinced me, and most of my generation that this organization was the guardian angel of the United States. It was only after I became more politically astute, that I understood the men and women of the ACLU were not safeguarding America’s freedom, they were determined to undermine it.
