So much is being written about the race in Illinois’ 8th Congressional race between Tea Partier Joe Walsh and Obama-ite Tammy Duckworth that other Illinois Congressional races are being virtually ignored. One of those interesting races is conservative Republican Tim Wolfe vs. Uber-liberal Jan Schakowsky. Illinois Congressional Races Can Turn the Balance in Washington
It is a well-known fact that the DNC has targeted several Illinois Congressional Republicans for defeat in November. Reps. Robert Dold, Judy Biggert and, of course Joe Walsh to name just a few. Nancy wants, she demands, that she, once again, be Speaker of the House and no one better stand in her way. And the DNC is pouring millions of dollars into Illinois’ to make it so. There is another contest, a David versus Goliath race that will have ultra-liberal former House Leader Nancy Pelosi pulling her hair out by its roots. A hint: Wolfe. (more…)

On Tuesday, August 21, 2012 Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky (D-9) failed to show up at a protest in Evanston designed to blame presumptive Republican Presidential nominee Mitt Romney over the loss of 170 jobs at the manufacturing facility of Sensata Technologies of Freeport, IL. 9th District Congressional candidate Tim Wolfe was on hand at the planned protest to clarify economic principles. Though local media isn’t reporting it, Illinois is a major battleground in the 2012 elections. Several conservative/moderate republicans who won U.S. House seats in 2010 are targeted for defeat and there are numerous first-time Republican candidates now vying for office who can help turn the tide of Democratic dominance in Illinois.
