A Republican Congress in 2014? GOP Senate Takeover Gains Momentum

By Editor-in-Chief on April 6, 2013

In the years in between Congressional elections, punditry over each party’s bid to control the U.S. House and Senate tends to die down. Illinois Hultgren Takes Senate to Task

By Editor-in-Chief on August 5, 2012

Randy Hultgren, a conservative first-term congressman from the Illinois’ 14th District has shown himself to be honest and fiscally responsible, and, as the video plainly shows, disgusted with the inactivity Harry Reid, Dick Durbin and the Democratic-controlled U.S. Senate have shown on budgetary issues and back-sliding on their promises to work with the House in a bi-partisan manner. Taking Control Of The U.S. Senate in 2012

Taking Control Of The U.S. Senate in 2012

By Editor-in-Chief on August 1, 2012

Outside the Beltway, polling indicates a massacre of Senate Democrats is in the offing in the 2012 elections. Recent Rasmussen’s polls have Republicans leading Democrats for eight Senate seats now held by Democrats. The Democrats stand accused by their own president of doing nothing, fostering a toxic atmosphere and promoting gridlock. A great opportunity for conservatives and the GOP to repeat the massacre of 2010. How precarious of a position are the Democrats in in Washington? Heck, Nancy Pelosi can’t even convince House Democrats to kick-in a few bucks to the DNC! (more…)

Illinois Gerrymandering: The Price the GOP is Paying for Not Winning the Midterms

Illinois Gerrymandering: The Price the GOP is Paying for Not Winning the Midterms

By Editor-in-Chief on June 2, 2011

Chicago powerbrokers forced changes to clarify the downstate districts that will now be home to GOP Reps. Tim Johnson and John Shimkus that have been shifted as Illinois Democrats moved toward completion of their radical redistricting overhaul. Republicans are strongly opposed to the overall map. And as with virtually all aspects of the map drawing, the players (Democrats) gave no details of how the changes were made or the resulting partisan impact.

The Illinois Association of Realtors Capital Report

The Illinois Association of Realtors Capital Report

The IAR is made up of hundreds of REALTORS® promote the real estate industry and private property rights at the Illinois State Capitol. The IAR strongly opposes proposals to reduce the mortgage interest deduction (MID) as this would further erode a critical cornerstone of families, communities and our economy and would be dangerously counterproductive.

“Tricky Dick” Durbin is at it. Again!

You Want to Know Why Barack Obama Came to Chicago to Stump for Giannoulias and Quinn?

By Editor-in-Chief on October 18, 2010

A win by Mark Kirk is the key.

The Illinois Senate race is the ‘sleeping giant’ that can stop the Obama Presidency in its tracks if Republicans take control of the House and break the stranglehold the Democratic Party’s has on the Senate.

National Taxpayers Union Campaign to Fight Energy Taxes

National Taxpayers Union Campaign to Fight Energy Taxes

By Editor-in-Chief on October 11, 2010

Dems targeting energy companies

Despite a poor forecast for economic recovery this year, the Senate may soon repeal tax provisions specifically designed to encourage domestic employment, while simultaneously hitting U.S. energy companies with new taxes that will place their overseas counterparts at a competitive advantage. In response to these proposals, NTU launched a new nationwide TV and radio ad campaign to educate taxpayers about the negative economic impacts of these proposed tax hikes.
