Randy Hultgren, a conservative first-term congressman from the Illinois’ 14th District has shown himself to be honest and fiscally responsible, and, as the video plainly shows, disgusted with the inactivity Harry Reid, Dick Durbin and the Democratic-controlled U.S. Senate have shown on budgetary issues and back-sliding on their promises to work with the House in a bi-partisan manner. Recent Rasmussen’s polls have Republicans leading Democrats for eight Senate seats now held by Democrats. Chicago powerbrokers forced changes to clarify the downstate districts that will now be home to GOP Reps. Tim Johnson and John Shimkus that have been shifted as Illinois Democrats moved toward completion of their radical redistricting overhaul. Republicans are strongly opposed to the overall map. And as with virtually all aspects of the map drawing, the players (Democrats) gave no details of how the changes were made or the resulting partisan impact.
